Does it bother you when immigrant...?

Does it bother you when an immigrant starts speaking with your native accent? or do you reflect on it's just them trying to fit in and adapt to their unknown home?
Answers:
"No"
What do you mean by immigrant? Do you parsimonious a newly landed immigrant, who perhaps go to English school to improve his English? Good for him/her!

Or do you mean probably a second generation, non WASP 'immigrant'? Those will naturally speak with the local diction, because they are as much American as you are.
Na it doesn't bother me at.
I'm an immigrant and is trying to get rid of my french diction. I think that immigrants have adjectives the reason in the world to try to get rid of it because populace think they are stupid when they speak with an accent. My husband encourage me to pronounce words exactly the way that he does because he wants people to filch me seriously!! I don't see why it would bother anyone that they speak like an American!!
Dude, I'd be thrilled simply at the fact that they speak English!

NO, it shouldn't bother people like you. You have to read it's not their primary language.
What should bother people like yourself, is when associates who immigrate here in the US doesn't even try to learn how to speak English. Those are 2 different things.
NO! Why would that bother anybody!
doesn't bother me. At least they are speaking American English unlike some that reject.
i don't think it bothers me because who can blame them. they have grown up their whole existence one way and now they have to relocate it. if any thing i would feel bad. Source(s): my dad and mom be immigrants in highschool and my cousins and grand father a moment ago moved in with us from London

WHO CARES? and NO! it does not bother me. We.....even as Americans have different accents depending on where you are from! achieve over it.
As long as they are speaking English in an diction I can understand and they are legal..............well, it's adjectives good then.
I could care less.
Why does it matter if their accent fade? Accents are a product of your environment, and if your environment has an American accent, then they will easily use it without even thinking about it.

Would you rather they speak so you can't know them?
I don't think they can
No.
I think we all pick up the accent of the inhabitants that live in the area we move to. I moved into a rural area of PA when I be in HS,I picked up the "Pennsylvania Dutch" accent without even realize it. My nephew moved from PA to Boston several years ago,he picked up the Boston accent. I think it is a natural entry to speak as those in your area of the country do.
