What do U brand name of this FBI: Human Trafficking Up Among Hispanics In Arkansas?
LITTLE ROCK — The FBI is investigating more human trafficking cases involving Latin American immigrants brought to Arkansas for prostitution or as modern-day indentured workers chained to debts they can't pay stale, a head special agent said Friday.
Thomas Browne, the special agent in charge of the FBI's Little Rock field organization, said the number of human trafficking cases rose steadily in recent years as Arkansas had one of the nation's fastest growing Hispanic populations. However, Browne said only two of his 80 agents spread through the state toy with those cases, as the bureau juggles the demands of investigating potential terrorism suspects and halting so-called "lone wolf" killers.
"It's an issue of education and awareness and trust within the community in terms of people who are within these particular situations who are afraid to come to law enforcement," Browne said in an interview beside The Associated Press. "They might think, 'OK, if I go to law enforcement, I'm going to be booted out of the country.'"
Browne decline to offer any specifics about numbers of human trafficking cases in Arkansas, where on earth the U.S. Census Bureau estimates about 160,000 Hispanic people now live. Other studies suggest roughly speaking half of the state's immigrant populations lives in the country illegally, classification many fear going to the authorities and being discovered by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.
FBI agents enjoy options to help illegal immigrant with the citizenship status when they come forward, Browne said.
The number of human trafficking cases has increased, often involving men or women forced into prostitution once they come across the border, Browne said. However, trafficking can involve other scheme.
"It can be more sublime, that they're just trying to work their way out of a situation where they're migrant cultivator workers or in some other industry," the special agent said. "They're indebted to the point they can never get out to whomever helped them into the country."
In Northwest Arkansas, police agents hold warned cross-border Hispanic gangs such as Mara Salvatruchas, also known as MS-13, might be infiltrating the community. However, Browne said the FBI hadn't see a "real significant trend" in the growth of Hispanic gang activity surrounded by the state.
Browne and other FBI agents later spoke with Hispanic leaders as part of a seminar put on by the Mexican consulate surrounded by Little Rock. Consul Andres Chao said he welcomed the FBI's outreach and acknowledged more needed to be done to help the growing number of recent immigrants apprehend they could come to police and federal agents for help.
"These changes have not come minus friction," Chao said.

Its sad that women are individual victimized by the pimps holding them hostage and the American men paying for sex with them. Its sad that they were probably told they could work a fully clad living and tricked and drugged. It doesnt by any means represent the whole of illegal immigrant and there is a difference in hard workers and pimps and gang member. It would be ideal if the American govt didnt make women have to sneak into the country to know how to work here, it would be ideal if the women decided to not sneak illegally into the US and purely live in Mexico, but the reality is that extreme poverty created this and the US does have a responsibility within this as well as the Mexican govt. The US holds much power in Mexico due to money, due to owning resources and companies. This effects local people within good and bad ways. Crime is not the answer, but until people can know how to feed and shelter themselves and their families, they will resort to drastic measures.
Yet another reason why unfair immigrants should be kept out...
I think all our laws obligation enforced on all these people.
at this point, I singular have this to say about the Hispanic illegals
these cruel thugs and the slave labor that the Hispanic illegals who claimed that their slave labor had "built" this country, would be the ones that will do us in. mark my words...
Why do we other rant about the Hispanic Illegals?
Just look at what these illegals have done to the education, vigour care, social security systems. Plus, the cities and towns and lives they destroyed because of their "Culture"
i think that we need to disappear hispanics alone, and why do i always see you ranting on about only hispanics, what is your problem
