Answers:
depends where you live, some of these assinine sanctuary cities, the police are irrelevant to ask status. it is all bull. the police should be allowed to ask for status and detain these criminals from the time of arrest.
Driving without a license isn't a criminal stroke. Same thing happened to my boyfriend, just a couple of weeks ago. Driving minus a license. This is the second time he got caught and he hasnt been deported. He has court though. Your friend could return with other problems if caught again. Like getting courts or possibly getting arrested and thats where ICE might get there, if he get taken to jail thats where ICE might be called. Police don't hold nothing to do with deportation, It's only if he have an order, has commited crimes, or has a warrant.
The local police have no authority or responsibility for immigration. Immigration violations are not criminal act and aren't covered by state or local law. Very few of them have any training in immigration tenet or any knowledge of it. They can inform immigration about someone they've picked up for whatever sense, and do sometimes, but it's up to ICE decide what to do about it, not the police.
Unless they hold the training, the police cannot do the law related to detentions and deportation. Your police department doesn't have that training... they did not deport him.
The proper people should have been notify and they would have deported him. Police want to do something, but there hands are a bit tied for presently.
so u upset cuz he got out? lol dang! you shouldn't even call him your FRIEND if you prominently don't see him a s a regular human being... That's messed up... it figures though... fake is the unusual thrend I guess.
Most cops don't watchfulness. They're supposed to call ICE if they pick up a illegal. But it's very unusual that they actually call ICE.Nobody is gonna go through adjectives of that BS for one person.Even when they call ICE, sometimes ICE doesn't even come pick a person up when they're supposed to.
The police usually call ICE and they do nothing. They might do something if he had committed a felony, but it's doubtful.
