If an EU migrant take a situation which would ordinarily require a CRB check?
such as working in a nursery, with the elderly, disabled or otherwise vulnerable society, etc
Are they able to do a full background check on the person (given that the annals would be held overseas and most likely under a different system to the UK CRB check)?

i would not tolerate you or anyone near the most vulnerable people of my society minus a full crb check
if that meant you could not do that kind of work in this country next so be it.

I am a (Polish) 'migrant worker' and I work with adjectives people and therefore had to enjoy a disclosure check carried out. I was very shocked to discover that the disclosure only covered the UK, and for this reason if I had any convictions (and by the way I do not) from my home country then they would not own shown up.
UK is connected to SIS2 (Schengen Information System 2) but lazy arses within UK are not diligent enough to make use of it. Ironically innocent non-EU citizens are probed but criminal EU Citizens are securing jobs contained by UK that they must not even be interviewed for.

I could only guess at the answer. But the checks are probably done duplicate way as the ones done before immigrants are employed at the airports and the Home Office!!!! LOL
PS. We don't want anything to be complicated and return with in the way of finding unqualified unsuitable carers for our elderly do we. After all anyone will do for that work.

My point is that the checks appear to be non existent when it comes to vetting incomers. Also when it comes to taking care of the elderly, disabled and young adjectives children, then as we have often see in the past, anything goes.
I used towork in HR for the NHS and as most of the nurses be not british born, we still got CRB checks done for them but I don;t think they were complete.

they don't do a full background check...many of those beside convictions in their home countries are slipping through the net and as such are now working next to some of our most vulnerable members of society...a point i have to breed is that one person working in our local swimming pool was caught perving on childish girls..when the police looked into it it was discovered back in his home country he be a convicted sex offender and this person was working near the public..very dangerous game they are playing Yes but how and where on earth are they checked. it's just another example of the privileges foreign nationals are afforded in UK which we taxpayers are disallowed. If EU wide search arrangements be to be put in place, however, while I suspect that most of the criminal records databases of the original EU countries are exceedingly similar to our own, and would give a similarly reliable result, I have grave doubts about the topical entrant states that have gone through very serious political upheaval, and some of which have a horrendous tradition of corruption.
I deduce this is in fact a case where on earth the UK government should exercise its rights under the provisions allowing individual states to override EU directives in command to safeguard public safety, order, health etc (sceptics please check and you will find that such a power does exist).
However, this or any other neoliberal authority will not do this, as they need to maintain a pool of unemployment and underemployment contained by the UK as a weapon of coercion against working people and their families.
The easiest way to do this is by encouraging mass migration into an already severely overcrowded island. They good opinion the cost to individuals in terms of criminal acts as a price in good health worth paying (cf Norman Lamont's infamous remark about unemployment as such a price worth paying).
Only the people can inculcate a criminal political class otherwise.
