Applying for a Canadian visa... Help?
I'm from the Philippines and my family is applying for a Canadian visa (immigrant - skilled worker). We applied last November, 2007, and the Canadian immigration told us that the papers will be processed within 3-4 months merely because our employer is really in need of workers. But until now, we are still waiting for the medical nouns request. Why did it take us longer than expected? Do we still need to wait or simply give up? Also, is it hard to pass the medical nouns? Do you have any experience to share?
Answers:
some work visa can take as much as 6 to 8 months, and WHY did you not do the medical exam already? It would have save time if you had done it first and put a copy of the receipt with the application.
the medical exam is not intricate.
a few pokes and prods and a LOT of questions
blood tests, chest x-ray and a urine test
