Should the word 'immigrant' be dropped from the permanent status 'illegal immigrant'?
Answers:
Sure. I know I don't call them immigrants, I call them what they are, aliens. They don't belong here, they're breaking the ruling and they must be brought to justice. Yes, actually the legal possession used in a court of law is Illegal Alien!
They are a reality, unfortunately. The previous immigrants that came here first be not illegal at all, no need they deny the truth.
As Gabriel g said, they didn't hold any documents from the native American authorities and didn't need any since there be no laws, the land wasn't owned, settled or had any elected representatives, it was just inhabited. Need less to say aloud, us educated people realize they didn't immigrate legally or improperly, they just immigrated.
Illegals are not immigrants.
Bank robbers are not customers I close to to refer to them as illegal trespassers!
No because Illegal can refer to abundant things any one can do, not just those who are here illegally.
Also whether or not it is legal, race do immigrate to the USA just as the founders it's government did. I rarely use "unfair immigrant" and simply use "illegal". Preferably I'd like the whole term changed to any "road kill" or "target practice" but I digress.
yes, they are not immigrant. they should be called illegals. Yes illegal invaders sounds better and much more ap pro po.
Yes. Lumping legal immigrant in the same general category as illicit aliens just isn't fair to legal immigrant. nah, plus theres emigrant too.
i always talk about my immigration and population ask me if im illegal, its more an ignorance thing, people sorta suspect base on media and what they hear a lot.
They are a fact. The previous immigrants that came here first be illegal too, despite now they deny it
As Gabriel g said, they didn't have any documents from the aboriginal American authorities.
Some people say they were not illegals because within were no laws then, a typical lawyer's reasoning, but totally negated and senseless, just to try to justify what they did.
It may work in a court of tenet, where they blindly follow a written piece of paper, no matter how foolish it can be, but everyone can realize that it is absurd.
Just to illustrate, the USA government made an agreement in writing beside the Native Americans to respect certain lands, considered sacred, but when gold be found, the agreement went with the wind and wicked miners invaded the lands ( there was a written agreement that forbid it, remember )
When the Native Americans realized that the USA system did not respect their own agreement, they decided to follow their own laws. They began to scalp the off the record miners
Eventually, the illegal invaders got the message and they left
Yes it should.
My term of preference is Illegal Alien Criminal.
I think it should for the fact that if someone is against letting wrong immigrants stay in the US ppl seem to ponder they are anti-immigrants. Most ppl have no problem w/immigrants coming here legally, just when they do it improperly. An immigrant is someone who comes to this country from another country and becomes an American Citizen the legal way. An illegitimate immigrant is someone who sneaks into this country without proper documentation. This country is built on immigrants, thank you very much.
illegal alien Yes it should rock on America yeah!
Yes if you want to. It change nothing.

Waived thru the border?
It is common knowledge that before 911, US border agents at Canada would waive thru travelers w/o even asking country of citizenship and for that business proper inspection. Well, one of my friends was briefly interviewed and without proper inspection was 'waive thru' the canadian border in 1999 - after an international travel and showing H1b petition for extension - no...
