Well in theory these are the reasons:
1) More population mean more workers for businesses
2) More people mean more buyers and stores label more profits
3) More people mean greater government charge revenues meaning government have the substitute to decrease corporate taxes.
However in practice, immigration has several problems:
1) Many immigrants cannot work because of lack of training, knowledge of our argot, etc
2) Many immigrants do not have jobs import they cannot spend as much to help businesses and the economy.
3) Many immigrants (too many) dance on government welfare and this is a MASSIVE drain on government resources. This causes superior taxes for everyone.
