Why won't barack obama shut down the American-Mexican border and enforce the immigration law?

Mostly for the same reasons George Bush, Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush, Ronald Reagan, and Jimmy Carter didn't shut down the border and enforce the immigration law.
Shut down the border?. Where in the world do you see an open borders between countries?. Of course the US border is SHUT to Mexico, you don't see Mexicans walk around surrounded by the US, drive around and go to sleep back to Mexico. The Mexicans you see in the US are AMERICANS, and they are welcome in this country like any other immigrant including myself. I am not a Mexican, but an immigrant from a far world and If I am welcomed here, they should be too.
The border law are of course enforced. That is why we have border patrols, articles, and trademark walls or fences visible in most parts of the border chain.
