Can I extend my postgraduate work visa?
I currently have a post gradate work visa. I attended school in Vancouver from September 07 to June/July 08 on a study grant. My PG visa expires Aug 31, 2009. I am an ESL teacher, on a contract that depends on my work visa being extended. I'm afraid that my employers will not agree to a LMO because it is unlikely that they couldn't find a Canadian to flood my job in about two minutes. I'm not sure what to do. When I look at the CIC website it seem that I don't qualify for a longer PG permit, and without a LMO I'm not sure if I can get a work area monopoly. I live in Vancouver, and I could drive to the border to apply in person. But I'm not sure what to apply for! And I don't know if that's a perfect idea anyway. I'm open to applying for PR, but that process takes such a long time that I touch like I should first apply for an extension on my work permit. Any advice appreciated! Thanks!

If YES then you MAY know how to get an extension based on the fact that below NOC code 4131: College and Other Vocational Instructors, you are in a job that is contained by demand.
