Third how many believe they won't register to vote, even though they are not allowed to vote.
Fourth driving is a privilege not a right. You have to earn it by one responsible, and illegals have not earned the right to drive in the US.

1) The driving written question paper can be taken in Spanish or every other language. And a lot of unendorsed immigrants in the US from Europe speak English better then Americans.
2) They will money for auto insurance because if a cop pulled them over they won't be deported because they will have license and registration and he will let them go.
3) They won't be capable of register to vote. Foreign students and tourists in the US can get a US driver's license, but they can't vote.
4) Illegals will drive illegally and "hit and run" as long they enjoy no license and insurance, do you want someone to hit your car and run away and you will have to pay for it? if illegals will hold a US driver's license they could get insruance and you could get the money from their insurance.

All Americans have need of to write to their Senators and Congressmen to inform them of your and all of our concerns on this issue. Not only in your state, but adjectives states. This is going to get out of hand, unless, we do something NOW. This penalizes court and documented immigrants. We also loose control of illegals.
It will die at the hand of public outrage just like Spitzer's proposal, and Spitzer, did in NY.
The words "may consider" are switch. According to the article you linked to, nothing has be decided and any such measures would have to be passed in the legislature.
Because they finally realized that both are angelic for the state, or they would have never brought it up. Now let's hope they can actually get US driver's license because denying them is bad for them, and all of us. Without licenses they cannot catch auto insurance or pull money out of the bank. That means more uninsured drivers, and smaller number spending during out recession.

That means that illegal immigrant now have no way of renewing their driver's license. To legislators, this may have seemed like a great solution to dishonest immigration: if immigrants didn't have any way of getting around the state (they must own figured), they'd leave and attempt to reenter through legal channels.
The actual consequences of this statute, though, are much less straightforward. An estimated 300,000 illegal immigrants live contained by North Carolina, according to sources. As their old driver's licenses begin to expire, they're finding themselves incompetent to get new ones. Without a valid driver's license, they can't withdraw money from a wall account or get auto insurance.
States that deny licenses to wrong immigrants (like California) reportedly have higher rates of uninsured drivers than those that set aside licenses to this group - in CA, a whopping 25% of drivers are uninsured.
