How does Immigration affect a country?
What are the good things and bad things that can happen to a country when immigrant enter.
Example.
America Multicultural and founded by immigrants. Many americans think that Immigrants are damaging the nation. What is the difference of immigration contained by the 21 century than it was in the 17 18 19 century?
Answers:
I'm sure there are people who presume that immigrants are damaging the country, but I don't think near are many of them. Immigration and illegal entry/overstay are completely different things.
Immigration means that a individual has gone through a process. He has filled out the forms, have background checks and medical exams. He has proof that he will not become a burden on society. He either have a job or family members who own signed papers saying they will support him if he can't support himself. He has proven through the background check that he is not a horrific criminal or someone who preys on the innocent. He is not a member of a terrorist organization or an anti-American organization. He have proven he does not have venerial diseases or other illnesses that might make him a burden someday.
He has wait a long time, paid a lot of fees, and presented a lot of documentation, usually, and Homeland Security have found that he will not be a detriment to the country. He has done this because he wants a better life and/or because he loves what America stands for, and he wishes to make it his home. He usually has more appreciation for the country than the average native born citizen does, and he is recurrently the first one to stand up and defend the country when people speak out against her.
Those who enter the country illegally hold not gone through any sort of vetting process, or they have gone throogh it and failed. They are working illegally, any by stealing someones identity, or working under the table for illegal wages, which skews the employment system. They send money out of the country because, for one idea, they cannot safely invest it in the country.
So when you ask how immigration affects a country, make sure you know what you are asking. We can onlly agree about immigration in the 19th and 20th centuries in comparison to this decade of the 21st because earlier that, we were not a nation. During those years, people went through processing centers. Check out Ellis Island. Now every international airport can be a port of entry. We don't want as many immigrants as we did a hundred years ago, especially these days due to the discount. There are other issues to worry about when we process potential immigrants, namely terrorism and disease, that we didn't hold to worry about then (though citizens suspected of having TB were not allowed within in those days). Immigrants come from a wider range of nations today than they did a hundred years ago.
These are some of the differences. I freshly want to add that my forefathers emigrated to French territory within the New World about 300 years ago. When they did, records were kept, and they in reality went througb a little processing station on an island off the coast of what is in a minute Mississippi. It was not the same sort of processing that occured later, when the country become a country, but there you go. So before we be even a nation, we were processing emigrants.
In earlier centuries we were building a Nation to add strength contained by numbers and welcomed eventually those who came here to make this a better Nation.
Now immigration have caused an overload of people unable to work, cause a huge burden on the economy. Especially when one enters the country illegally. Did you know that if a party is ill, all emergency rooms must see them even if they cannot pay. This contained by itself adds millions of dollars to the health care debt and Americans pay packet for with taxes. If an immigrant comes to America and becomes a citizen it shows that they wish to brand name this their country too, and will follow the laws of the land in more cases. Those who enter illicitly, have no alliance to this Nation and many times are using the country to support illegal leisure.
Our health care, educational systems are so over burdened beside debt, I believe it is time to put a minimum of a 10 year moratorium on legal immigration and watch our borders more closely..
Legal immigration in the rash 1900's and later 1800's were welcomed because the industrial revolution contained by the US needed many of those people to work. That group, including my great grandparents lived in squalor and poverty, but be for the most part happy, and didn't expect much of anything from America.
In modern times, because our immigration runs unchecked, and a large portion of the illegals enjoy come here with an entitlement attitude, the end result has be a closure of 85 hospitals over a year and a half in California alone. You see the condition of California, right?
Some say that the prohibited immigrants save wages, but studies have shown that for every dollar save, three have been lost on the social services they suck from "the system." I'm not a mathematician, but even feeble me can integer out that's a huge loss to the US.
We're all immigrants. The residence "Wigger" came from the Irish, because they had such a low social status they were treated one and the same way blacks were (Not well). A lot of people who are anti-immigration enjoy solid points, others are just racists. Ever notice how most inhabitants complain about the Mexican border, but not the Canadian border? We've forced immigration ourselves, look at the Trail of Tears for example. That's a piece of history we're pretty ashamed of.
the only difference between the immigration from the 17 18 and 19 century and todays immigration its than the immigrant of today are coming from different nations ... although another difference could be the fact than most of the immigrants of days gone by had to face even worst dislike from the people who have already settle in the USA , all kind of racist name were made for them all and all of them be full of ill and criminal , drunk people according to those who were already here ...
so suitable than the USA of today its a much better country in which that kind of people are immediately only the minority ... they used to blame them for all kind of stuff and even surrounded by some cases it was made legal to shoot them just because , the law which were made specifically for the Asians could be a good example of this , of course they be not the only ones who faced this , the Poles , the Irish , the German , they all saw sings contained by the streets than said 'NOT WELCOME HERE GO BACK TO ..... ' and huge amounts of propaganda about how terrible they supposedly were ... the USA today its a much different place . Source(s): actual and definite historic facts .
google any of the major groups which came to America in former times and u will find than of all all of them were told budge back to where you came from ... not the style of welcoming words some dream their ancestors were told .
they all be invited in and later were asked to check out of ( making them illegals ) , that makes America the land in which most improper immigrants stayed till today and made it what it is today .
with no control of the borders we will lose the usa
