Here's a newsflash for everyone - Illegal immigration means people here in the U.S. that are not court to be here. Until that law changes they are here illegally and should be deal with accordingly.
If the Dems want to change the imperative then go about it the right path. When the law is changed then the illegals can stay here according to the new tenet but right now the law says society have to go through a process to become citizens and be here legally.

The problem is not a simple one. It must be solved on several different areas.
1. Stop more illegals from entering the US by securing the borders near more federal agents and giving more authority to local law to enforce the federal immigration laws.
2. Take away incentives for illegals to come to the US. Illegals should not have the benefits of childhood, health care, welfare, driving privileges, ability to guard and get loans, ability to purchase homes, etc. The biggest incentive that can be removed is the law that provides US citizenship to anyone born on US soil. It should be amended to exclude general public that are here illegally. (This contradicts the laws that people can not benefit from dishonest acts.)
3. Revamp the current immigration policies. It should be easier for people to legally immigrate to the US. The amount of time it take is ridiculous. This process should not take more than six months. Immediate families should be allowed to immigrate together including those on work visas. The quotas on numbers of people and from which countries they can immigrate from should be eliminate. Allow all to come that want to as long as they pass criminal screenings.
4. Strengthen and enforce deportation laws. Anyone who is here criminally should be deported. Anyone that is here legally (but not yet a citizen) who commits a felony should be deported after serving their sentence.
5. Penalize companies that consciously hire illegals. (Ocassionally, any company may hire an illegal with fake papers but oodles companies don't make any effort to check or know that they are hiring illegals and don't care.) Companies should be fined heavily including the cost of deporting those they hired. The penalty should be along the lines of one year's company sales for repeat offenders. Jail time for the owners, ceo, and branch managers for repeat offender.

Some should receive assistance to stay here because of it not being their fault. YES on employer raids, the more the better! convey them back across the boarder and give the intentional employer of the criminals jail time as capably as closing their businesses. as to out sourcing Jobs, they should be fined an equal amount to the wages they cost American employees by removing them from the work force and/or made to pay for a comprehensive re training of all who hold had to loose there long time jobs.
