Carrie B is right, this happens at my daughter's university too. At least half of all kids near are Polish. I work there, and when I speak to them they cant understand me. They all stick together and it make others feel alienated. You can be sympathetic to a point. Its good to understand how knotty it is to come to a foreign country and try to make your way, but where do you draw the file? When native people are feeling alienated here, or cant bring in themsleves understood in the workplace?? Its crazy. I cant do my job properly because these kids dont think through me.

I dont know about sending everyone back. I think integration is appropriate. I know a few europeans who integrate and are very nice people. I think the trick to getting and keeping a job is to be well qualified and significantly motivated. If someone else is a better candidate, is that their fault or mine? If we object to job being outsourced abroad, we have the power as paying customers not to use that company.
