Its the biggest problem for older parents of unknown citizen

I know of a case of an English guy who was involved in a coup¨¦ accident 24 hours after arriving his son and wife have bills approaching $500K already.. it will probably wipe them all out ...

Think favourably about it
To qualify for medicare in the USA you have to hold paid into the medicare fund in the USA for at least 10 years. Otherwise your sponsor is responsible for buying private medical insurance for you. This will be going on for $1200 a month for the two of you and it will get a lot higher as you go and get older. If you get a serious illness it is feasible that your sponsor will face bankruptcy and if they own a home, they will lose it.

There is no automatic medical insurance plan for anyone in the USA. There is no system run plan for regular medical needs.

Only people over age 65 who have salaried into medicare for 10 years or more can get government insurance.

Welcome to the USA.
hell no!
You can have any type of health insurance you want,as long as you pay envelope for it yourself.
If you aren't going to work and contribute to the country,it isn't our responsibility to provide health insurance for you.
call the county hospital contained by your area and ask.
At present, there is no such thing as free health assistance or insurance, unless your benefits come through an employer. You would have to pay for your own.
No.

As a part of your immigration visa packet somebody filled out an affidavit of support. That's the party who will be responsible for your care.

After you've been in the the United States for 5 years, if you are chronological the age of 65, you will be eligible for Medicare. However, your premiums will be MUCH higher than an American citizen pays because you did not work and pay into the system for 10 years. Expect to pay nearly $700 a month, each.
LOL. I'm sorry but you are not! No one in this country is entitled to Health Care. That's what congress is arguing with respectively other about now!
Sure, plus 40 acres, a mule, social security, a GM vehicle and a low cost mortgage (you have to see Sen. Dodd for that). Come on surrounded by and call your local congress person(especially if you want to live in California), they will help you acquire a start.
