USCIS Meets Another Milestone within Eliminating FBI Name Check Backlogs?
WASHINGTON—U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced today that, working in close partnership with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the backlog for FBI name checks approaching more than six months has been eliminated. This is the fourth milestone met by the agency as chunk of its joint plan with the FBI to completely eliminate the backlog of imminent name checks.
i have pending luggage i-485 at uscis for years now and they told me that is on FBI name check, does this expect that my case can be processed. anyone any idea?

You need to ask, this seem to say that they are doing all name inside 6 months. So if you get into that backlog more than 6 months ago you should be good to go. But individual USCIS can give you the status of your applicatin.
