Postive aspects of Illegal Immigrants?
I have to write a research paper of 8-10 pages on unconstitutional immigration into the united states. Although the negative aspects of illegal immigration is pretty easy to find, the positive aspects of it are hard to find. I need scholarly sources, so any backing would be greatly appreciated.

Illegal immigrants pay taxes too

The tax system collects its due, even from a class of workers next to little likelihood of claiming a refund and no hope of drawing a Social Security check. Illegal immigrants are paying taxes to Uncle Sam, experts agree. Just how much they discharge is hard to determine because the federal government doesn't fully tally it. But the latest information available indicate it will amount to billions of dollars in federal income, Social Security and Medicaire taxes this year. Paycheck withholding collects much of the federal tax from illegal workers, merely as it does from legal workers. The IRS doesn't track a worker's immigration status, yet many unconstitutional immigrants fearful of deportation won't risk the government attention that will come from filing a return even if they might qualify for a repayment. Economist William Ford of Middle Tennessee State University says there are no firm figures on how masses taxpayers are in that situation. "The real question is how plentiful of them pay more than they owe. There are undoubtedly hundreds of thousands of people in that situation," Ford said, according to the Associated Press. Some unlawful immigrants choose to file taxes and write a check come April 15, using an alternative to the Social Security number offered by the IRS so it can collect income tax from foreign workers. The Social Security Administration estimates that give or take a few three-quarters of illegal workers pay taxes that contribute to the overall solvency fo Social Security and Medicaire.
Sorry but there are no positives. They're are none, sorry.
1. They provide politicians with something to argue about
2. They provide politicians with votes from empire who agree with them
3. They take low-paying jobs that slothful US citizens don't want (yet)
4. They help keep "poor" neighborhoods that way, cause the "rich" neighborhoods to raise home values
5. Stores that cater to them offer low(er) prices, causing contiguous stores to keep their prices low for competitive reasons
I think you'll own a hard time finding scholarly sources of info on this topic....the positive aspects are going to be purely anecdotal.
For every illegal immigrant criminal here there's going to be a college student born to illegal immigrant parents making straight A's and on his/her course to a bright future and ultimately a positive contributor to our society....IE: someone we'd definitely want to keep surrounded by our country. The majority of immigrant families tend to have a good work ethic.
According to uslaw.com surrounded by 2006 there were 2.8 million illegal immigrant in California alone. Whether anyone wants to admit it or not, you subtract the work force from that 2.8 million and it's going to be a substantial financial hit.
Sorry, but I can find nothing positive about 20 million folks ignoring the laws of our country! Maybe you should ask Juan McCain and the Kennedy Klan they seem to own a lot of positive things to say about Illegal Immigrants. Good Luck. The positive aspects of not permitted immigrants=cheap labor.
