Do you have an idea that it should be unendorsed...?

for jobs to require a american candidate to be bilingual?
Answers:
no, certain jobs require it because their business depends on it. if adjectives the customers speak spanish then the employee should speak spanish. if the company communicates back and forth beside china the employee should speak chinese. english isn't the only language within the world you know?? Being bilingual is a great asset and very difficult.. and bilingual people tend to be smarter!

and it doesnt matter if the full country spoke only english.. other languages will always be required surrounded by some jobs because we have to communicate with other populace from other countries.
Not all jobs within the US require employees to be bilingual, but if it's a requirement for that certain job....consequently NO! it shouldn't be illegal. It's just that, a requirement!

I don't think Hooters will hire you if you're flat chested and dreadful, I don't think the fire department will hire you as a fire fighter if you don't pass the physical training, I don't reckon a Tech company will hire you as an Engineer without a Degree...why? because these are all requirements for those jobs, and they are no path illegal.
yes
I don't think it should be a requirement, but maybe companies can offer an incentive for culture who learn a 2nd language. English is this country's primary language, and anyone who decide to move here needs to learn it.
The only profession in the USA that should be required to be bi lingual is a translator or a foreign diplomat!
In the usa EVERYTHING IS ILLEGAL !
I think it adjectives really depends on the job. Cause If it is just a simple normal commission, no. But if it has to do with working with tourists or if you enjoy to constantly go go to other countries then yes
You should be able to at least write coherently within English in order to land a professional work. Sorry!
Yes it should. This is America,we own conducted business in English since the founding of this country.
No. They are the employers, they can set the rule.
no, because some jobs deal with those who don't speak english, approaching tourists.
