Immigration press...comfort!?
If a Jamacian citizen gets a US visa through marriage to a US citizen, when will he get a green card? He have not yet arrived in the US, but will be in 2 weeks. He be given a sealed packet to hand carry to the US and confer to the immigration officers at his first port of entry in the USA. What will happen in a minute? Is the green card in that packet? I dont get this at all. Help!!

He will bring temporary I-551 Green card stamp on his passport and the actual card will arrive in his US address. After the green card is arrived, he can apply for SSN.
Depends if he is coming contained by on a CR1 or K-1
if a CR1 ..he will get a stamp at the POE anf his card will be sent by mail in going on for a month
If by K-1 he has a further set of form and an interview and a lot of money to go ...
If he is CR1 (conditional resident - you two are already married and his grip was processed through the Jamaican US consulate) then he will get it surrounded by a month in the mail. I received mine in 3 weeks. The hermetically sealed packet does not have the green card. It only contains what the US consulate collected as paperwork and after he enters at a POE, he will entail to go through a procedure so that he could get his green card. He will get fingerprinted too. No worries.
Hopefully he is either put within prison or deported.

give me the answer if you know it for sure BOTH words now mean impossible to tell apart thing Asylum used to be for Political reasons, Refugees used to be for war victims and religious discrimination. Now they use Asylum for all the above...
