Denied Canadian Visa?

Hi - I have a question regarding my friend.

She is a local of Colombia and would love to visit her boyfriend who happens to live in Canada. She have been denied a Tourist Visa MULTIPLE times. Does anyone know any tips / etc that I could tell her to look into?

Thank you,
Alysa

If your friend makes $27000 per year, he can apply to sponsor her for Permanent residence within Canada. He would have to travel to Colombia to marry her first, though. Source(s): http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information…
As you said "multiple times", there is no way to find one in the near future. If someone get denied once, it is hard to get one later because the officer looks into your folder and can see all those denied applications...your friend cannot do much because she is in a very difficult situation. Single, probably youthful and she has a boyfriend living in Canada. She does not have strong financial and social ties to her country because she might not have a stable full-time job and she does not own any property. This is what they are looking for and she is therefore considered a potential unfair immigrant because of the reasons mentioned above. I'm sorry but I can't think of anything that she could do. Her boyfriend can visit her contained by Colombia, that's all I can think of...

They can of course draw from married but if she just wants to visit him, I don't ponder it is possible.
Short of getting married there is not much she can do at this point. Multiple denials will make it next to impossible to receive a visa in the near future. The denials are probably a result of her absence of proof of ties in her home country which make her a risk for overstaying her visa. Although it may not be true, this is how they do things.
Maybe once she has established herself surrounded by Columbia she will have a better chance at getting a visa into Canada. They will look at things like employment, family, property owned, bank accounts and other ties that would bring her back to Columbia.
Good luck Source(s): PR contained by Canada
