Middle Tennessee's top federal prosecutor says he's stepping up cases against illegal immigrants who are deported and return to the U.S., hoping prison sentences will deter offender next time.

Yes. if they serve the time contained by their own countries or their own country pays for their incarceration it costs far more to jail them than deport them. To most illegals being in a US put inside is considered a better lifestyle than what they left behind.
Yes, logically. It's like asking do you favor imprisoning criminals who have committed repeat felonies. Coming into the USA without permission is a felony crime and for repeat offenders there should be no mercy. Fine them and give them a short prison sentence. It is ridiculous that some inhabitants say it is too expensive to imprison them. Why on earth should they stop coming if they are simply flown final home at our govts expense? There must be consequences for committing crimes in the US or we will never stop them from coming here.
And how about we charge the country for each unconstitutional alien that we have in federal prison. Mexico would owe us billions of dollars a year for the thousands of Mexicans in our prisons.
These guys have a fortitude! Right! You send 'em back, and they reappear somewhere else! Putting them in put in prison, gives them free room and board, and we are paying of it! If the one and only crime is illegal entry, I do not support imprisonment. However, if they are found with drugs or arms, then yes, they must be imprioned and thier home countries should be billed.
However, I do favor imprisonment of persons who purposely hire illegal immigrants.
Since the second against the law entry is a felony the answer is yes. Spending 5 years at Club Fed will make them think about trying it a 3rd time.
