If you as an American be arrested surrounded by another country would you hope the American consulate would bring in sure?

you were being treated humanely and that the charges weren't bogus?
Answers:
Pro-illegal immigrant groups are in a minute counseling illegal immigrants to get their papers within order, just in overnight case they are arrested.

Being in the US illegally puts you at risk of being deported. The US does notify the consulate of respectively detainee's country - but it truly does overwhelm the consulates.

John Galt - nice moniker...but probably too obscure for this board!
Why is this surrounded by immigration? It should be in polls.

Yes on humane, but the US government has no jurisdiction on the charges. That's a risk you pocket when you travel. I would never travel south of our border for that reason and the lucrative kidnapping business there. I'll stick to the US, Canada and Europe. (I considered China for the Olympics, but squatting over a hole instead of sitting on a toilet wasn't for me.)

Immigrants DO NOT facade those problems. (Although illegal immigrants USE that argument as a delaying tactic when facing deportation.) That's positively absurd. Next time I ask a question about an ingredient within a recipe, I'll put it in immigration too because immigrants eat and cook food too.

Ridiculous. That's stretching the point WAAAAAY beyond belief.
Of course but I wouldn't break any laws so it wouldn't be an issue.
Are you talking about illegal immigrant though?
I'm sure that you are. Do you mean that Mexicans (or others) are being denied access to Mexican officials when they are picked up for criminally entering the United States? Is that what this question is really about? Because with the rates that inhabitants crossing the borders are being arrested if they went through the whole process next it would take forever. Would Mexican officials even care? They would enjoy to staff up tremendously to properly handle this responsibility. If they were simply caught going over the border they would be sent back UNLESS they be caught doing something much worse as well such as human or drug trafficking.

This question is too vague because it is apparant that nearby is more to this than meets the eye. It is trying to elicite and answer based on incomplete facts. Can you clarify? Is this question really roughly speaking Americans or people from other countries coming into the US? I'm not condoning ICE tactics just looking for more info.
As an American who have travelled extensively internationally, I can honestly say that I would not be afraid of being treated poorly if arrested while overseas. Additionally, I would strive to never put myself in a position to prove arrest nor would I visit a place where I felt that I would be abused if arrested.

I would to be sure ask for my embassy to be notifiedand to provide legal defense but, if I did something to warrent justifiable arrest, I would own up to what I did.

But then, that's purely me.

I would advise everyone to contact their consulate to verify validity of charges and for help if arrested out of the country.
The US allows detainees to notify their consulates if arrested. It is up to the individual to get whatever support he or she needs from said consulate. Mexico does little for their immigrants in the US due to the number that are arrested on a each day basis. For some reason the vast majority of Americans avoid arrests within foreign countries making the job of assisting those that do get arrested more managable.
