Can my British Mother interlace me contained by the USA beside a work Visa?
I'm a USA citizen. I live in the USA. I'm an only child. I've recently have a baby and my Mother would like to come to the USA and spend time with us. She is a British citizen. She is 60 years outdated. She would like to have the option of looking for work if she decide to stay a while. Would she be able to get a work visa?
Answers:
Probably the best would be if she would get a B2 company visa instead of coming on the visa waiver program. With a B2 visa she can stay up to 6 month instead of three and in addition she can change to a work visa while surrounded by the US. The B2 visa will not allow her to work.
If she comes on the visa waiver program she can stay up to 3 months and she most definitely is not allowed to work and neither can she change to any other visa category short going back to GB again.
She won't be able to apply for a work visa without have a job offer. Mostly work visa are for jobs which require at tiniest a bachelors degree, so she is not going to get one for working in the local supermarket. Though if she is a qualified nurse, nearby is always a shortage of nurses and they get visa pretty easy.
If she simply wants something to do and not sit all day within the house, she can take up any amount of volunteering. As long as the place you live is not too small there will be no lack of volunteering opportunity.
Any type of work is a big no ..
If the POE ask if she will be babysitting ...the answer is no .. Thats work ...
