I own a L1B blanket visa from my employer. Now I plan to switch job. Can this visa attain transferred?

Status: right now on L1B from X employer, working in US, want to change job and join Y employer. Can my L1B visa be transferred, thus making me a legal employee of Y? Also, if yes, what is the procedure?
Answers:
L1Bs are for one company alone.

If you can find another company to sponsor you through their blanket, you will have to work abroad for them for a year before you can verbs back to the US under the new L1B.

As noted, to even be considered for an L visa for another company, you would need the qualifying prior employment next to that company. L visas aren't considered general permission to work in the US. You can one and only work for the company that petitioned you. However, there are other types of work visas, like H1bs. So, if that company wants you inadequately enough to file the paperwork for that and then keep on for USCIS to possibly approve it, you could do this.
It does verbs but not easily. That is where the fraud always is. You come on for one assignment and mysteriously change (not you personally)..
