How can i sponsor someone to obtain a green card?

i want to help sponsor someone from another country how can i do this we are not related
Answers:
you cannot sponsor someone who is NOT a relative.
Only an immediate blood relative (parent, sibling or adult child) or a spouse can sponsor an immigrant. The sponsor also has to own sufficient income and assets to support the immigrant and guarantee a $30,000 bond for 10 years.
You just fill out an affidavit of support from the Immigration Service. However be warn under the current laws, you are responsible for that person for energy. If they ever claim public benefits such as cash aid, welfare, medicare etc, then the government can come after you to claim it subsidise.
you do know that if they ever got here you would be liable for all their debts etc etc.

And if not a relative afterwards they are not very high on the list.
