Do I hold to say F1 status if I get married to an American citizen, but didn't directory immigration papers even so?

I entered US on J-1 visa (2 years rule does not apply), after 1 year I renewed it for one more year (it's possible for AuPairs), then I changed my status to F-1, and immediately I got married to a citizen 2 weeks ago. He doesn't have enough income on his income excise, but he will have on his 2008 return, so we have to wait near filing papers for status adjustment till February 2009, and now I don't know what to do with arts school. I don't want to continue (it's just ESL), but I'm afraid to drop off. Can somebody share me what are the consequences if I drop off, please?

I concur with Yak Rider.
If you stop attending college you'll be out of status. Once you are out of status you'll be deportable.

Have your husband get a cosponsor to help with the affidavit of support.

Until you've file all the papers you must maintain your F-1 visa in direct to stay in status.

You must continue with your schooling until adjectives your papers have been filed and surrounded by order. To not do so could result in your deportation for failing to comply with your visa.
