In the antediluvian days kids didn't get their own citizenship certificates. Their names be added to the back of their parents citizenship certificates (this was in actuality quite annoying as little kids grow up and if you have five kids then you will seize six adults sharing the same paperwork which is a nuisance especially if some of you live elsewhere). If your name be originally listed on the back of one your parents citizenship certificates next it will be listed on their databases (which you should easily be able to apply for a Evidence of Australian Citizenship contained by your name).

If it isn't, see if you can get your parents to request a copy of the original application form they filled out when they applied for Australian citizenship. This will show whether or not you be listed at the time of your parents immigration.

If your parents didn't list your name as a dependant when they applied for Australian citizenship you may be capable of show your birth certificate and their citizenship papers (plus photo ID) and possibly get an adjustment of records.

Your designation may not be listed for the simple fact that it is possible that your parents lost their citizenship certificates and applied for modern ones in their names only.

If your registered on their databases after it should take about 5 - 10 working days to get a investigational certificate. If not, well they'll have to check your paperwork first.
