Can you live contained by Canada by simply traveling into it (but still intend to make a purchase of citizenship)?

I have a friend who is planning to move to Canada from the United States, but we're a little uninformed when it comes to the details of immigration.
Answers:
you can not live within canada until you have a applied and qualified to immigrate, this process in some cases takes a year or longer

see the canadian immigration website
Unfortunately it is not as simple as that. Especially if you want to live then you would want to work and for that you would inevitability a Social Insurance Number for income tax purposes. For that you would need to have at lowest possible a work permit. If you want to obtain Canadian citizenship you would have to first become a irreparable resident. There are many ways of qualifying for that.

In case you are interested contained by applying for Canadian permanent residency check the following link to figure out if you would qualify for it:

Just traveling to Canada to live is how you become an illegal immigrant. You own to get a immigrant visa first. Try the Canadian government's online immigrant assessment tool to see if he qualifies for immigration.
No, You would get deported and if so you would not be able to enter canada for 5 years. Its alot easier and quicker to get citizenship within canada rather than USA, Its funny because its different for me and i want to move to America. But anyways, you would need to get a permenent residency card. Source(s): Im canadian
You need to contact the Canadian Immigration Service. Canada is an independent country and there are specific rules and procedures that must be followed before becoming a citizen or even "moving" nearby for other than a vacation. Not just anyone who wishes can move contained by and become a citizen in ANY other country. (Look at our illegal immigrant problem in the states!)

Canada is a appendage of the British Commonwealth of Nations, (I assume they still call it that?) which means that a citizen of another "commonwealth" nation can come and go next to no restrictions. The U.S. is not a member. Another way that qualifies for Canadian Citizenship is for one or both parents to be commonwealth citizens. I.E. My mother be from Great Britain and my father was from Canada. I was born in the U.S. That make me a citizen by birth of the U.S. and a citizen by blood of the commonwealth.

BTW:
A U.S. citizen can not get a job in Canada, unless they can attain a work Visa from the Canadian Government. That is very difficult unless the person has a special skill that Canada wants.
No you cannot. www.cic.gc.ca is the immigration website.
