IMMIGRATION - What would you do to solve this?

I have to write about a one-page essay interview today in class for my final and need reasonable philosophy (especially because I don't care much about the issue of immigration)
The question:
An epidemic surge within illegal immigration into our country is of major concern. The president has created a fresh cabinet position with you as its' head. What would you do within trial parameters to solve this pressing problem?
Answers:
I say let the dudes patrol the borders without permits should be looked beyond and left alone,they're hero to me,but bush had a stick up his *** about it....hummmm??
Round them up and send them put a bet on. then bill that to the Mexican Govt. then i would militarize the southern border. place warning signs within spanish, then fire on the Mexican invaders. perfectly legal.
Easy. Actually enforce the law.
they come here to work, and when caught they are punished. why not punish the enablers. Who should be punished? the drug addict or the drug dealer? I voice punish the employers!

Make sure that you enforce the current laws. I know as a parent when I don't follow through it creates uproar in my own home.
