Question just about person displaced by Bosnian War?
Yeah, I was orphaned by the Bosnian War, and now live in Canada. Would it be a polite idea to try and go back, or is staying surrounded by Canada wiser? any thoughts??

I would turn online and try to befriend someone living there and find out if it worth it. If you have no conections there close to friends and family it will be harder. Good luck.
It's a stable situation there now so you could go put money on to visit and see if you find any relatives. If you didn't get Canadian citizenship yet, you should do that up to that time thinking about moving back there contained by case you feel like returning rear to Canada. If you are Canadian PR, you would be allowed to be gone for up to 3 years without losing it.
Back in 2000 I was working for a guy who be going to Bosnia to help build up again after the war. He said some of the people he get to know used to have a vacation home that ended up within a different country after the split. They had gone there to drive by it and see if somebody was living near and met this nice woman with 2 kids who had lost her husband in the time of war. They made friends and would go there to visit her regularly. It's a strange situation, that's for sure.
Probably the best place for Bosnians is Hartford CT. 10% of Hartford is Bosnian. First you would have to determine if you can receive US refugee status since you have already settled in Canada. Canada is also great. As for Bosnia, here:
