I come to the US on a company visa, married my husband in a minute my visa expired?
I came to the usa on a holiday fell in love with my husband over the subsequent 2 years i was on a visitors visa and was constantly flying home every 3 mths so i did not carry deported. My visa expired about a year ago and I applied with a lawyer for a modify in status. I believe i may have been taken for a ride and he took my money.
Now am i going to be deported because im here and if here is a chance of that how do we fix it? My husband is a US citizen and i am Australian

Did you actually mail surrounded by the change of status application? Did you get a receipt reminder from the USCIS? If you got a receipt, then that included approval to stay here legally while your case was within process. Call them and find out what is the status of your case
Normally overstays are forgiven for persons who get married to US citizens and consequently apply for Adjustment of Status. Do not leave the US under any circumstance until you get the Green Card or you will be unconditionally excluded from reentry for either 3 or 10 years.
Although it cannot be guaranteed that the Adjustment of Status will be granted, that has been the norm over the years.
However, near has been a couple of cases during the last year contained by the 9th district that did not approve the Adjustment of Status due to an overstay. I believe in those cases deportation hearings was started up to that time the Adjustment of Status application was applied for.
