UK Settlement :What happen once you attain issued your visa?
I was just issued my spouse visa! Yay. I am planning to join my husband within the UK next week. My question is, what happens when I achieve there? I have heard things of a medical assessment...what does that consist of? If anyone could give me some info please let me know. I am american if that makes any difference ( or not) Thanks!

Dru is correct. Visa does = clearance. If you are still unsure, have your husband find out- he can do so a bit easily from where he is.
If they were gona do medical tests, they usually do it previously they issue the visa so i don't think they will do anything. Visa = entry clearance.
In the event they do, just take ur inoculation record with you.
