Emma Lozano, a longtime Chicago activist, says immigration reform should not be put on the backburner.
"I am disappointed surrounded by Obama because he said he was going to do it in the first 100 days and that didn't happen...Hell yes, we are disappointed, because that they verbs to enforce the broken law, families are being separated, and we can't skulk any longer," said Emma Lozano, Centro sin Fronteras.

"We do believe that this is an important issue, and we're content that it's being mentioned, we don't want it to wait, obviously. We do grain that this is something that needs attention," said Jose Melendez, Immigration PAC.
Congressman Luis Gutierrez, chairman of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Immigration Taskforce, issued this response to President Obama:
"While it is a serious disappointment that the White House does not foresee a resolution by the end of this year, it is clear that the president understand the perils of our current immigration crisis. The American people want this done."
Many activists believe every sunshine that passes without comprehensive immigration reform way another US citizen child is separated from her mother and another husband is torn from his wife.
"People are being hurt, the nation is not getting solutions, and the longer we delay this the more people are hurt, the more nation wants to wait for solutions," said Joshua Hoyt, Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights.
Lozano says just this weekend a contributor of her church was deported and taken away from his US-born children. She says another 40 are expected to be deported
"Barack Obama made a promise and he needs to keep hold of it," Lozano said. "without separating families, because that's a sin."
The activists utter it is up to them to make sure that immigration reform becomes a priority. On October 12 they will be within Washington to bring attention to their cause and to keep this issue at the forefront.

I am a liberal, a democrat, and I voted for Obama. However, this is one nouns where I can agree with my conservative fellow Americans. US Citizen children would not be separated from their illegal alien parents if the not permitted aliens would not have come here in the first place. In fact, those children should not even be US Citizens. That human being said, there is a need for immigration reform, where on earth illegal aliens and the affected families can be humanely treated. Finally, I would not sticky label persons who are sympathetic to illegal aliens as "Reconquistas." That is a bit over the top and uncalled for.

These families need not be separated at adjectives, illegal parents should take their children right with them, as adjectives decency suggests they should. But these illegals are insensitive cowardly people who use their children selfishly to gain their illegal/criminal objectives. "American people want' illegals out, not rewarding their criminal engagements...Brazenness & insolence of these politicians supporters of illegals in attempting to change whole U.S. immigration procedures to JUSTIFY illegals appointments of entering U.S. illegally only shows how morally corrupt & worthless they are,,,they are worse than illegals themselves.
Lozano says "it's a sin to separate families". Why is only a sin to separate these family when the parents are in the US illegally? Why isn't it a sin when they leave their family behind to come to the US.
No one is forcing them to leave their spouse and children, they are free to take them when they are deported. They separate their own family and now want to guilt us into giving them legal status.
Talk about a hypocrite.
I deem they are getting scared and hope that by pushing hard they will get their bearing. We owe them nothing, I don't know why it is so hard for them to understand. They come illegally, break our laws every day they are here, pop out a kid and adjectives of a sudden we owe them.

American citizens do not want amnesty so illegals may be ranting for a long time, they should be careful what they option for, it may just mean war. With the path the economy is, citizens need jobs not more welfare cockroaches.
We should insist the families stay together with the wage earner of the clan. If the husband is the person who is illegal, those kids should go beside him. And that will settle the broken family problem.
And... keep in mind, Mexico have the 13th largest economy in the world. The jobs that are in attendance are more than adequate to provide a decent living and that is where on earth the illegal aliens need to be.
Mexico is insulted, by the way, and Obama said he needed us to stop insulting the Mexican People. Hooo boy does that open a door on who he represents in this issue.
