Unemployment for man who is surrounded by the process of getting his fiancee surrounded by Poland over - (processing her visa now)?

I've returned from Poland where I was teaching. I've returned and very soon I am having trouble finding a job. My fiancee's visa is being processed immediately - she is in Poland. I am afraid that if I apply for unemployment than it will stop or have cynical results in the visa process. Does the government have the right to access this info. and hold it against me? Stopping her immigration? Thanks

She will be programmed for interview at the Embassy in her country once her petition is approved here in the US. She will be required then to submit your Affidavit of Support, ITRs and Certificate of Employment. If you will not be capable of meet the income requirement to petition your fiancee I suggest you look for somebody now who will co-sponsor you so when you need to furnish the Affidavit of Support you will be qualified along near your co-sponsor.
It is OK to be unemployed while the visa is being processed, as long as you have a co-sponsor, you should be fine I have a sneaking suspicion that, unless your income is sufficient to support yourself and your fiance, then you wouldn't need a co sponsor.
