Plz someone that knwos roughly speaking immigration law?
ok my question is if a resident marries an illegal alien could they become citizens?
Answers:
Depends on which country you are talking roughly...
Ok, she asked for someone who know about immigration. No one so far.
A person who entered the US unlawfully can not adjust status while in the US. The person can leave but would obverse a 10 year ban from US soil. A waiver of inadmissibility (I-601) could be filed but it would be denied out of hand for an unconstitutional entry. If it was a citizen that the illegal married the I-601 may provide some relief contained by that situation.
The other problem is that you are in violation of US law and can be charged near aiding, abetting, and/or harboring an illegal alien. Punishable by 5 years federal prison, $250,000 fine, deportation and a lifetime ban from the US.
yes but it is a process and like mad of paper work and some $$
DO IT FOR THE RIGHT REASONS
no. the illegal alien will remain wrong but if you have children your children will be legal since they were born here.
yes
Yah. (Anyone can become a citizen it's not that complicated, merely long)
No. Nothing will come up. They will still be an illegal alien... just married now.
No they enjoy to go through a series of forms and regulations before confirming a legal citizen

The illegal may apply for permanent residency after marital and become legal because the resident that married him/her may be a sponsor. Eventually s/he will be able to apply for citizenship, but for that s/he does not need to be sponsored, adjectives s/he has to be is a permanent resident for a few years. In fact, an immigrant that have become an 'unconditional' permanent resident after marriage does not need to be married anymore to apply for citizenship. In a nutshell, Citizenship is granted base on being a permanent resident, not for being married to a resident or US citizen.
Yes, it is Much easier to become a resident that way
yes they can. he can put up a recommendation or something like that
