Answers:
My aunt be born in the US and had dual-citizenship in the UK. She married a Brit. No problem.
Rules against dual citizenship still apply to people who wish to become US citizens via naturalization.
The Supreme Court chose to set off in place the requirement that new citizens must renounce their old citizenship during US naturalization. Source(s): http://www.immigrationdirect.com/citizen...
you have 2 ways to do this.
the unproblematic way - K1-fiance visa where he applies to CIS, you get interviewed and later you get approved. You must then be married IN USA within 90 days of you arriving surrounded by USA. the process takes about 12 months. The green card will be processed quickly.
and the harder bearing - if you choose to get married first before you apply to CIS, then you will own a lot more trouble getting a green card.
you Will NOT automatically become a US citizen just because you married him. You will have to live contained by USA and stay married for 5 years before you can be eligible to apply for citizenship.
Where near is a will, there is a way.
