What can be done to adjust a kinfolk that be departed beside an improper status by their attorney?

My friend and her family came to this country 11 years ago with an investor visa (E2). After four years living contained by California and Florida, their I-94 was about to expire. Their immigration attorney told them there be no need to leave the country to renovate it since he was going to pinch care of it. However, for some reason this did process did not come through and soon after the attorney died of cancer. My friend and her family be left without immigration status and have be living illegally in Florida since then. Their younger son be born in California and is now 9 years old. My friend’s parents verbs to pay taxes until now. Is there anything they could do to adjust their immigration status considering that they be ill advised and their current illegal status is not because of their imperfection? They are very decent people who undesirably are living with the constant fear of being deported. My friend is not competent to go to College, drive, or work. Suggestion will be appreciated!

In a case like this they should contact an attorney.
Nothing can be done, update them to go back where they come from and belong! Why did they not find another lawyer?
Report and Deport!
