Will a British party not buy from an American?
I am american living in NYC. I am a account executive in B2B sale. I am looking to move to London for a change of pace. I have hear that trying to be in sales would not work for me there because I am American. Is this true?

Britain in general, and especially London, have a mixed and cosmopolitan population. You would certainly not be the only US citizen people enjoy met there, and I can't see you having any more difficulties in sale than any other nationality.
not sure what B2B sales are but to be honest as a brit living and working here in America, I own found that the accent opens doors all along the means of access and in a good way......... I am currently working surrounded by retail whilst I find my niche here in the USA and find a lot of people come final to me or ask for me as the one with the english accent. It does get a bit drained sometimes but the same question you have hear about 6 times that day for that person asking it is the FIRST time they own said it, so if you can be prepared for that several times a day and reply with a smile on your face after you will be OK.
And just as a thought IMO London is much more faster paced than NY [and yep lived in both places]
The lone difficulty u may find is finding an employer who can sponsor you for work permit, if thats sorted & don't see any other problem.
