I'd suggest ancestry.com as it is a thorough resource. You will have to payment for a subscription to the service but it is good.
try asking on the genealogy section of Q&A - that is free,
And a subscription to ancestry might be helpful.

A destruction certificate or registration in the parish records MIGHT identify where on earth they came from - but not always.
