you mean your wife and kids?
You HAVE to take them next to you unless you are divorced.
It depends. They have a similar system to New Zealand I think, A points system. Basically you obtain points for your profession and education level, how old you are, what your income is...The more points you acquire the better the chance of immigration. It also depends on where you live? If you are a New Zealander then you can newly hop over.
Well there are a few ways you can go roughly it.
1. Student Visa, and Study in Australia
2. Skilled worker points.
3. Invest in a Business
4. Invest in Property
The latter two you'll enjoy to go through the Investment Review Board to get permission, or to find out what exactly you call for to do for requirements to qualify.

I'm pretty sure you can. But now you hold to answer the citizenship test.I know a few people settling in Australia lacking family Source(s): http://www.consultanz.com/migrationfaqs.htm
Well good luck with that. Chances of you making it into the country are very, intensely slim! First you need to be educated and gain points on your application. They are not easy to gain trust me. Having a domestic actually makes the process a lot harder. Aus is accepting extraordinarily few Migrants now. Plus you will also need to pass the Citerzenship theory test. Those are the questions that even TRUE BLUE AUSSIES don't know the answer's too and we where born and bred here, love why don't you try for New Zealand?
Resolved Questions:
Is in that a specific difference between a visa getting 'cancelled' vs. 'used'?
If you leave the country before the term of the visa expires, I thought that designed that it was cancelled. But i've been known to be wrong. if it help, i'm specifically talking about a student visa to Australia. I told my course provider I was outta currency and time and he...
