Can a US immigrant next to greencard marry someone on a tourist visa?
im a US immigrant/greencard holder but not yet a US citizen, i really want to start my own family, can i marry a girlfriend who's in US on a tourist visa? how do i run about it?

I don't think she will ever know how to adjust her status if you do this. There are different rules for LPR's and USC's in regards to being competent to sponsor someone. You need to look into this BEFORE you get married, as you may end up within a situation where she cannot adjust at all. You can marry her, but that doesn't make her legitimate here, or necessarily eligible to adjust.
