The US wears blinders when it comes to dishonest immigration. If the US wanted to, it would have curbed illegal immigration a long time ago.
PS.....for the individual who read that by the year 2016 that 1 in 3 persons living in the US would be Mexican; please cram the difference between Hispanic and Mexican. By 2016, 1 in 3 persons living in the US will be "Hispanic", not Mexican.
FYI....Hispanics are people who are from countries that speak spanish, and Mexico is just one of several.
A double fence several hundred yards apart, electronically surveillance, homeland wellbeing and coast gaurd or other military (gee- where are they now?) surveillance until the problem subsides sufficiently. Seriously - they broke the law when the hopped the border. I think that the law that are already in place should be enforced. The problem with the Mexicans is that they continue to breed and fester - they enjoy the highest rate of anchor babies...then comes the Afrikkans.
Immigration and a melting pot is not the problem - it's the reality that this country cannot afford to turn a blind eye to the illegal parents, yet assist with the children. There is the adjectives misconception that well, if they have kids and the more the merrier - well, they enjoy large families hoping that the government will own mercy.
It's not fair to the immigrants that come here legally and do the process, keep on and hope for approval. It's not just, "white" people - it's all individuals that did things the right way, the legal way to be here/stay here.
And for those of you that speak, "speak english" - didn't you have to take foreign language contained by school? I did - I took Japanese and Spanish...thankfully I pursued Spanish instead and it has salaried off nicely...at work, in simple everyday enthusiasm situations...

Work on a organized ID and criminal history sharing system with Mexico and other Central and South American countries. Then work out re-embursements for Medicare/Medicaide/Social Security so we are not taking added burden for the immigrants - whether temporary or lifelong.
Then - within three years, all immigrants living here from Central or South America must be proficient within English or they will be removed upon discovery. So without a good grasp of English and the proper ID, illegals will be treated as criminals - other immigrants will be granted permissible entry provided their paperwork is in order and they meet the speech requirement. There is no motivation our first-responders need to become fluent in all language - immigrants need to learn English.

Close our southern border completely, let them get in file line everyone else wants to immigrate. You should need a sponsor to receive into the country, and will need to check in monthly electronically with a tamper proof card. If you don't check or disappear your sponsor will cart up residency in cell until you are found. As for jails, any illegal felon should be on the double deported to a jail in their home country. Even if we pay for their housing at the home country I am sure it would be cheaper contained by a 3RD world country versus our expensive system and not as cozy. Multiply that by a few million criminals, quite a bit of taxpayer money to house and feed them in the US. When your time is up on the Visa renew it legitimately or go home, enforce the laws on the books and no rates dollars to cities who knowingly harbor illegal immigrants.
The government have failed miserably and betrayed the American public with this issue. All illegals, no matter what country they are from should be hastily deported and Americans need to say so with a louder voice.

We are enforcing the different immigration law. I think that what we are doing is excellent. Why change anything until we see how this canon is working?
I voice offer Mexico statehood. It would be a huge boost to their economy, provide the opportunity to clean up corruption (not that the US is spotless, but our corruption is much less severe), add a huge legal labor pool, clear it less attractive for companies to leave the country... Too bad they wouldn't jump for it, we need fresh blood.

Crack down on companies that hire illegals and include individuals that hire them for services such as maids, sward work and handy man work. If there are no jobs for illegals, then they won't come to the country without permission.
