Are things really not as impossible surrounded by Mexico as ancestors claim ?Mexico pushes national movement to lose bulk ?
Mexico is working to mandate more physical education in public schools and gladden employers and unions to give workers time for exercise. The direction of President Felipe Calderon says it has built or renovated more than 800 public sports facilities around the country. The National Institute of Public Health is promoting food teaching and healthier choices in schools, such as fruits and vegetables instead of chips and soda.
Mexican cuisine have always been high surrounded by fat and carbohydrates. But for decades, people living in small village could not grow enough crops to eat a lot and have to travel long distances to gather more food.
Now, as the middle class grows and more people move to cities seeking work, diets have become burdened with processed and fast foods. At the same time, doctors read out, Mexicans spend more time in sitting in cars or watching TV.
The country has the disease rates to prove it. According to elected representatives statistics, new cases of high blood pressure increased 24 percent in Mexico contained by just six years, from 2000 to 2006. New cases of Type 2 diabetes, believed to be linked in cog to obesity, jumped 31 percent during that time.
Companies spend a lot to souk unhealthy foods in Mexico, said Margarita Safdie, an investigator at the public health institute. In one so-called health-conscious promotion, a company offered a free bottle of river to anyone buying two soft drinks.
"It should be the other way around," Safdie said. "It's not that healthy food is much more expensive. What happens is that calories hold become cheaper."
At Alvaro Lozano's taco stand in downtown Mexico City, customers line up every day for a choice of fatty meat on two corn tortillas washed down with a sugary soft drink. He said his customers are more concerned about money and time than around health.
Mexicans have also developed a taste for nippy food.

Well, in their own country they cannot find free money and benefits for pumping out illegitimate babies. That's one of the reasons they come here.
Mexico is not a dirt poor country, as they do hold agriculture, tourism, and the oil industry. They just make too abundant babies so they can't find jobs for all of them. Mexico encourages its redundant to go to America and find jobs, and send money vertebrae to the home country. Without the millions of illegal Mexicans working in America, the Mexican economy would crash, and millions would own no jobs. They should be more grateful to our country for taking in their excess population.
Herein lies the problem: For those that are struggling to make ends come upon, their budget does not consist of many items from the food pyramid. Their breakfast would be a piece of bread and pop (soda). The sugar and carbs in itself are enough to head to diabetes and obesity. It is far cheaper to buy pop (soda) than it is to buy milk. For the other meals they fill up on tortillas more than the actual food. This is the just way that they can make their meal stretch when you're strapped for brass.
