Why did Africans immigrate to America?
Also: Europeans, Italians, Irish, Japanese and Germans.

Not all Africans were brought over as slaves. Some paid pathway to come. Some worked the as the ships crew to come. Some should get a better handle on History.
They all immigrated during a time when it be legal in the manner within which they did come. They came for the promise of a better life, and under the government requirements.

Canadian PR obligation?
I am currently working in the USA on an H1 B visa for the past 4 years. I got my PR of Canada surrounded by Dec 2005. In the past 3 years since I got the PR i have not lived within Canada nor do I own anyting in Canada, however i did visit canada a few times in these 3 years....
