Illegal immigrant cross-question?
Okay so here's the situation i have a friend who's getting married next month. she hasn't applied for a marriage license all the same though. the thing is her soon to be "husband" came to the united states 3 years ago, hes visa expired and hes be living illegally ever since.
im not too keen on the whole authenticity of all this. but won't they boot his *** out or something for staying after his visa expired?
Answers:
Since he has no legal status yes he can be deported. BUT since he come in legally then that way he can file here in the US versus having to run back to his home country for an appointment.
When he goes to his appointment they wont"boot" his *** out for being here illegitimately because he is there to adjust status unless he has an active warrant or some other issue.
Just like anything else that expires. You are not renewed or re-registered in a hard to please category.
If your car registration expires, what happens? Ticket, and possibly jail time.
If your license expires, what happen? You cannot drive and you get a ticket and could be detained.
If you lose your passport, what happens? You can get deported and facade jail time.
If you are an illegal immigrant, what happens? You are detained and grasp deported.
The laws of U.S.A.
He is an overstayer not an unauthorized ....
But she should be aware of all the ramification before marriage
hopefully yes, some times they can adjust their status, others are deported out, she should be prepared for any case, marriage does not make an dubious alien automatically legal as some seem to think.
We can only hope.
He is an ILLEGAL ALIEN. The term IMMIGRANT is for the folks who respect and follow the law. Too bad the liberal media have blurred the distinction between the two terms.
