Why are immigrant athletes okay, but ...?
No one else? I found it strange how proud everyone was at the Olympics for a bunch of recent immigrants that won medals for us, but at the same time many complaining about other legally recognized immigrants in our country.
What exactly is the difference if they are all court?

Illegals don't bother me because I'm a professional and I don't compete with them for work. I wonder, if the problem we enjoy with them is that they are breaking the law then why don't we vary the law to make it easier for them to become legal? Answer? Legal immigrants are okay, whether athletes or not.
Typically, legal immigrant strive to acclimate to our culture and enhance it. Blend into the melting pot, so to speak. I applaud who achieve great success, and eulogize those who have the courage to reach out and become legal immigrant.
I know quite a number of legal immigrant, in a variety of career field.
They compete for their jobs and bring skills.
We don't complain about legal immigrant.

There haven't been complaints about legal immigrant ... but the pro illegal groups have been constantly trying to knit the two groups to give the illegals a better reputation.
There are issues with certain visas (H1b I construe they are called) but in this instance the biggest problem is protecting the immigrants from virtual slavery to their sponsor masters

Also I am half black and native american I say consent to them in they can't do any worse to my fathers land than what the first roller of illegals did.
All of you talking about immigrants taking your job, and that they should be sent home are band of idiots. Last time that i went to Mc Donalds, KFC, and any other low paying jobs, adjectives I saw was hard working immigrants (illegal or not).

It first started off with unfair immigrants, but today is different. The media, politicians and hate groups that assemble are at blame. They only concentrate on the negative issues when it comes to the immigrants, and that have caused hatred towards anybody that resembles an immigrant regardless of their immigration status. I think it would be possible if there is no US citizenship required. Qualifications for police departments vary from municipality to municipality. Some enjoy residence requirements, you have to live in that town or city and for a certain length of time. Training is probably similar, but...
