What's wrong next to immigration?

if you're so scared about these people coming over and taking your job, why don't you just do something about it? sitting here and complaining isn't going to do anything.

Do you know the difference between legal and illegal immigration?

i played my constituent in letting my Congressmen and Senators, know where i stand on Amnesty and the dream act. both bills get defeated!!

i am all for legal immigration
i am all for deporting illegitimate aliens for breaking our immigration laws
Nothing is wrong with Legal Immigration. It is Illegal that is wrong. BUT, not for what you reason. Our county is great not from who lives and works here, but from the Infrastructure. (Roads, Utilities, etc) and that is the main reason for borders on Immigration, to give the country TIME to assimilate those legal immigrants into the system. Illegals DO strain the system. There is NO point they should be allowed to live and work here, unless they do it Legally. I do not care for the argument that in their home land they are so poor. If you step by that chain of thought, they why not 2/3s of the world living here? They are poor too. Illegal Immigration is a BIG and EMOTIONAL issue, but for the WRONG reasons. We have a system within place for people to immigrate to our country LEGALLY.
I do something about it by voting, by sending letters and emails to my representatives letting them know what I assume about the lack of action on their division in deal with criminal immigrants. Our "Leaders" seem to forget that they are actually representatives. They regularly choose to do as THEY want because they believe that the majority of Americans lack knowledge of what the facts are. This is untrue and a mistake in their thought process.
As for your demeaning remarks going on for us sitting here and complaining, it is acceptable for people to voice their opinions surrounded by this country. We have the freedom of speech and press.
We also have the freedom to ignore what other population have written and said. That is the reason so many relations want to come to this great country of ours. Their government would hunt them down and kill them, and their families, for voicing protest.
(As was the case in Iraq).
I am more concerned with the period of war in Iraq, which spends 1,200 million per month
There's nothing wrong with immigration, but there is A LOT wrong near illegal immigration. If you're in this country illegally, you necessitate to be removed. I'll be happy to welcome you back if you walk through the proper immigration process, but if you just run over the border and expect all the liberties, freedoms, and privileges of individual an American, my answer is no -- not until you come to this country LEGALLY. It's not that there is immigration. All of us are immigrants in someway. It's the lack of integration from the current influx of immigrants, legal or not. Sadly this is typically a South American issue, though within are exceptions.

When my family came here, they had to revise to be Americans. That meant LEARNING THE LANGUAGE, GETTING A JOB, and PAYING TAXES like everyone else. This was VERY not easy for most people.
Its not up to us to do anything, that responsibility is the Federal Governments. RIGHT ON!
Nothing is wrong with immigration.... the problem is illegal immigration. No.. I'm not worried roughly loosing my job to them... they aren't that intelligent... however what worries me is how much they are costing me in my tax money and their mugging of the Social Security system. We are trying but the federal government is trying to block the enforcement of their own laws! Plus kicking Mexican *** back across the border would win us in trouble with the law but Mexicans coming the other means of access is allowed!
I am appauled by the arragence and indifferent of all the above responders.
America covers a large chunk of Gods earth, and why do they focus that because of the coincidence of being born there they the have to look down on other smaller amount fortunate occupants of the world.
The problems of poverty, etc. experienced in one part wiill eventually enjoy repercussions all over.
It is in everybody's interest that the gap beteen the rich and poor should be narrowed, (and not widen as it is now.).
A more enlighted immigration policy would go some way to achieve this.
I do not believe in legal or illegal immigration. I'll deal with the illegal immigration first.

- illegals take jobs at lower wages
This cause other honest business to lose business because they can't keep up with low over head the other business hold, they have to charge more to pay their employees, and submission health care, worker's comp and so on.

ese jobs for $7 or smaller number. So if a company can have a non citizen do the job that low, why pay a US citizen the average wage to do the work? You close up with a company that pays very little to all it's body for a very hard job. Illegals clutch money from Americans who deserve a decent wage.

Aside from the job end of the spectrum. Illegals come here and commit crimes and they own no identity here so they get away with them.
Do you know that in several parts of Mexico the legal age of consent is just 12! 12 year olds are able to enjoy sex and marry! A grown man can have sex with a 12 year old in that. That's why so many of America's child molesters are Mexican. (Watch America's Most wanted if you don't believe me). My boyfriend got into a disagree with an illegal employed by Natorp's Lawn care (which be found to have employed illegals after my husband quite) because they were doing work at Great Wolf Lodge. It's a hotel that has a huge indoor ethnic group water park. Well the lawn care squad walked inside to buy a pop and this illegal was checking out a 10-12 year infirm girl! My man waked up to him and was like "what are you doing?", the guy replied, she's hot, you wouldn't go for it?. Needless to read aloud that guy never checked no girls out in front of my man again. But my man was yelled at, the company understandable the illegals actions by saying that in his country a man can hold sex and marry a 12 year old child. It's sick, they're sick, and they 're doing it to our children!

I'm not going to get too in depth next to the problems with legal immigration. Many of you will not understand or appreciate the force. I'm just going to say what effects me most in my ever afternoon life.

They don't pay many taxes we are forced to, attain grants and loans for school, and to other business we do not.
I worked with a woman from Africa, her husband come to America to become a doctor. America paid for his education, yet several Americana's cannot afford collage, let alone to go to school full time next to no other job! They paid only federal taxes. And get a free education many Americans only dream of.

They are given money to start on restaurants and gas stations, and often only hire their relatives to run them.

Many Americans would love the chance to run their own businesses. It's unmerited that when a city needs to boost business they seek out foreigners to open small business fairly than publicly offering the same incentives to the born here Americans.

A nation made of many cultures is not as strong as one that is adjectives one nationality. We have no sense of brotherhood to the people of America and our fellow Americans. Genealogy is so popular because we instinctively want to be apart of one "tribe", to own the feeling of brotherhood with our people. We wish out our heritage and find pride in knowing we are Irish, Scottish, Cherokee. . . Why do we ignore the fact that after so tons years of being bastardized, we are white, just a white mix of peoples. Americans. We do this because we are hard wired to be tribe relatives, we live among our own kind. We do this for the same reason we moved from the cities and created suburbs. This mixing minus Ricard to the people's natural instincts will lead to a race period of war like Australia is now racing. The time of war in America will come far sooner than anyone wants to think.

Here's some info around the Australian race war.

CANBERRA (Reuters) - Australia was soul-searching on Tuesday over the cultural violence that has gripped Sydney's beachside suburbs with an evaluation poll showing three-quarters of Australians believe their country is racist.

The ACNielsen poll, published in The Sydney Morning Herald newspaper, prompted Prime Minister John Howard to say for the first time that cultural tensions had played a hand surrounded by the violence, though he denied most Australians were racist.

"There are some people contained by the Australian community who are racist, but I do not believe the average Australian is a racist," Howard told Australian television.

"Clearly there are some tensions which can be defined by see," said Howard, who had earlier labeled the Sydney violence as primarily a regulation and order problem.

But a poll by Australia's Sky TV found a clear majority of people (79 percent to 21 percent) believed Howard is misjudging the national character.

The southern Sydney sand of Cronulla, a mainly white community, erupted into rioting on December 11 when a large crowd, whipped up by white supremacists and fueled by alcohol, turned on anyone of Middle East appearance.

The crowd said they be defending their beach from ethnic Lebanese youth whom they blamed for a recent attack on life guards. Lebanese youths retaliated over two nights, attacking society and vandalizing cars in several suburbs.

Although calm returned to Sydney slow last week, mobile-phone text messages have call for more racial violence and police manning seaside roadblocks seized an array of crude missiles, from petrol bombs to iron bars, and made dozens of arrests.

New South Wales state premier Morris Iemma, who recalled parliament last week to grant police extra powers to quell the violence, said police were investigating white supremacist videos on the Internet showing beating and carrying slogans like "Not White, not welcome in Cronulla."

But University of Western Sydney erudite Andrew Moore, a specialist in right-wing Australian politics, said white supremacists were not the driving force behind the beachside anger and had instead just taken advantage of it.

"The (extreme) right within Australia is pretty small, pretty disorganized. Once the violence has happened they enjoy derived a lot of oxygen from it," he told Reuters.

HISTORY OF RACISM

Moore said he was "mystified" by Howard's remark that Australia was not racist.

"Australia does own a racist history and a history of race violence," he said, pointing to riots aimed at southern Europeans in the gold-mining town of Kalgoorlie surrounded by 1934.

Chinese immigrants were also the target of racial antagonism on Australian goldfields during the 1800s, while European settlers tried to wipe out Australia's Aborigines in some areas.

Australia is a nation built on migrants, where 200 language are spoken, and one in four out of the 20 million population was born overseas.

Iemma, the son of Italian immigrants who arrived contained by the 1960s, agreed with Howard that Australia is not racist, but has slammed the Sydney violence as racially fueled.

"From my upbringing, I don't believe Australia is a racist country or Australians are racist," Iemma told reporters.

The ACNielsen poll showed that nearly 60 percent of Australians believed the recent sternness had hurt the country's international reputation.

But Howard warned against over-reaction and said any harm to Australia's reputation would be "ridden out."

In the biggest financial guarantee operation since the Sydney 2000 Olympics, some 2,000 police patrolled beaches last Sunday. Beaches, typically packed with tourists a week before Christmas, be almost deserted and beachside cafes were half derelict.

The security crackdown is set to continue over Christmas to deal beside the threat of ongoing violence.Fanning the flames of racial hatred

Australia is not immune from the rising tide of racism around the world, writes Anne Summers.

It's unequivocal season on Muslims around the world and no-one seems to give a damn. In fact, the reverse seem to be true as politicians in Europe and elsewhere gain surprising support for their unabashed anti-Muslim attitudes. In Holland last week the extreme right-wing party of the murdered politician Pim Fortuyn gain a surprising 26 seats and came second in the poll within its first foray into national politics.

Fortuyn's anti-immigration platform included an explicit anti-Muslim position, attacking Islamic attitudes to gays and women. This upsurge in support came hot on the heels of the shock outcome of the first round of the French presidential elections when the similarly anti-immigration Jean-Marie Le Pen knocked the Socialist Prime Minister out of contention next to his high polling.

It has been matching in Denmark, in Italy, in Austria, surrounded by Switzerland and in Norway. Across Europe, anti-immigrant sentiment has been rising and opportunistic politicians enjoy sprung up to exploit it by fanning flames of racist and religious fear and distrust by channelling these sentiments into attacks on the religion of Muslims and, by extension, on Muslims.

But nowhere have it been worse than in India, in the western state of Gujarat, where on earth a brutal and systematic orgy of violence was unleashed against Muslim communities earlier this year within what many Indians are calling an act of "genocide".

On February 27 this year, a train that had newly left Godhra station was stopped by someone pulling the emergency cord, which allowed the train to be attacked by an angry crowd of Muslim poor and illiterate slum-dwellers who were incensed at attacks on a Muslim people that had taken place on the train some hours earlier.

This dreadful attack was followed, the next hours of daylight, by one of the worse outbreaks of communal violence the state has seen. he problem with most immigration is that.....they sucks! People have nothing better to do! Just plain ridiculous!
