How would my grandfather have a feeling immediately after conflict for Britain as a 15 yr prehistoric contained by WW1?

He was in that war and be lucky and survied, but many many thousands of other teenage boys and men lost their immature lives,if they could see this great little island now what would they feel about the current state of Britain?

How would he feel?
Pretty bloody stupid i'd imagine

I think that he would embrace multi cultural Britain in 2008 (90 years later) - he fought in a time of war that was directly the result of a racially motivated murder (Franz Ferdinand - a person who supported the extension of a political Europe).

Maybe we need to evoke the spirit of the veterans from this chunk of history and teach the racist right wing yob's of today what our forefathers fought for

Interesting question.
He would feel it had been a refuse of time and the lives of his friends since we have surrendered to the forces of darkness that hate Britain, don't listen to the wanker who call you a fascist he is a prick who hates white people
Hi,

My Grandad was in the navy, but contained by the second world war. He's still alive, but has vascular dementia, and often think he's on the war ship. He doesnt understand much about what the current state of Britain's resembling.

Your Grandad did a fine job in fighting, we should be proud of our Grandads, great Grandads etc for doing so and protecting our country. Not to mention wives, sisters etc who worked contained by the factories or as nurses etc (my Gran worked in a factory).

I dont think I can speak for your Grandad lol! I'm sure he would be particularly upset though at discovering that many of our British soldiers are having to go out and exchange blows in countries such as Afghanistan, with some not coming home. And then, purely like he must have faced within WW1, the sorrow and grief their family must face of their loved ones.

Ignore some of the people on here who are referring to you as "racist" or whatnot. I've asked a worthy few questions in the immigration section back and had all sorts flung at me. As you have done, block the offending individuals. You are entitled to an assessment here without being abused!
Every family surrounded by Britain was affected by some loss during the Great War,my own dad lost two uncles in WW1 and my concerned Grandfather also served in WW1.My own uncle also served in WW2 and from what i get from him it be for NOTHING. He also made a very good point a short time ago,he said can you picture if during the war with Germany,we allowed Germans into the country even though we were at period of war with them, why the hell are we letting all the muslims in when we're at period of war with them ?
People don't appreciate the sacrifice they made so idiots can answer this question and call you racist or fascist or doesn`t matter what. Presumably they would've been the ones with the white feathers.
I think he would be appalled at the state that this country is within. My Father fought in WW2 and was behind opponent lines most of the time and he says he fought for freedom including freedom of speech which now seems to hold rapidly disappeared thanks to the pc brigade. He immediately wonders who actually won the war.
He'd probably be wondering how his daughter became a fascist and hoping that you'd grow out of it, especially as he was grown enough to fight for his country at 15 whilst you are a complete racist fool at age x.
You've hit on it, there is NO commonsensical reason to fight for the western countries now. Our father countries have been surrendered to the invading racist illegal alien border criminals. BY US

Buy the passageway about editing beasty or anyone else here on yahoo answers, that's just your god complex. Not reality. You see beasty's post is still showing on your interview for anyone else to see.
My Grandfather fixed the K.O.S.Bs at 14 ( he lied about his age). He served in Lucknow, Gallipolli and the Somme where he lost his leg though gangrene. I know he would be angry that this once great country.is presently the laughing stock of the world. He would not understand why the Government or the British people allow foreigners to steal, ponce, plot and murder us, then own the audacity to be allowed to stay as it's against THEIR civil rights not to be thrown out. Another thing I know he would not be sitting at home saying nothing nearly it.
richybab your a nobhead!! the way we treat our period of war heroes and our soldiers in this country is a joke we should be outstandingly proud of these people in the US soldiers get into sporting events for free and receive treated like heroes every where within go!!
as i sit here now i enjoy shouting going on outside, a bon fire thats been going all night, and to top it bad, someone has just pinched my wheelie bin, and it's 11:30pm

i have work surrounded by the morning, but i can't sleep incase somthing happens
so i'm having to post on here to waist time, untill they go

police don't want to know, firemen won't come to put the bon fire out, because they seize hit with bricks and stones

i want to move but i can't, because everything costs to much

some might say, whats the point of living. others say because it resources they've won.

I feel sorry for all who lost there lives to craft the so called "chav" which police can't stop.

surely it's time to bring in the army.
do you really think that any sage as* politician cares what your grandad would think.
My grandfather who also fought in WWI would be disgusted at the relations who whinge and whine and who point the finger at others while not being prepared to get up sour their own backsides and take responsibilty for themselves. He would be shocked by our rampant consumerism and dismayed by our selfish attitudes. He would be appalled by the level of disrespect shown by some ethnic group towards their fellow human beings and he might well think, in the circumstances, that the sacrifice made by so plentiful of his comrades was just not worth it. Actually, he wouldn't have thought that because he other believed in the fundamental 'goodness' of people ... which makes me mull over it is a good job he is not still around to have his confidence shattered.
Old, I would imagine.

I can't for one moment suppose how the less than psychic denizens of Yahoo Answers will know how your grandfather would feel.

Oh, and your right to ask questions is no guarantee against anyone else's right to post stupid answers.

He may or may not be especially upset about the current state of affairs. He might well feel that the population he fought are the only enemy he's cares nearly. You'll find quite a lot of old soldiers next to that view. And the very fact that he survived when heaps thousands of others did not would make him unafraid to die, as every year he lived after World War One he would likely have see as a gift.

I'm inclined to think your use of a man, whom you claim to be very proud of, to form a point which I'm cheerfully ignoring does not indicate respect for the man.
They'd probably think it was adjectives a waste of time and effort.
My grandfatherand father fought in both WW1 and WW2 for freedom and equality, not for bigots and society who complain instead of trying to make things better.

xx
yea, my father fought N WWII and Vietnam against communism, fascist, and against Marxism ,crazy 2 see so many americans out of agitation of the all mighty dollar would so easily toss away
freedom&democracy 4 which we've spread around around the World only to pit in for a larger gov. and Babylonian lifestyles for which we will surely B cursed.
