One can immigrate illegally, by willfully crossing into a nation's border without permission and proper documentation.
Illegal simply method in violation of the law.
Migrate simply funds to move from one place to another.
However, there is a semantic connotation associated with the word immigrant that can very positively describe society who came to and founded a nation (conveniently overlooking what they did to the indigenous people already there), or it can negatively describe foreign intruders who move to and exploit a country.
Just approaching one can be honest and a criminal at the same time. An honest guy who ran a red light and cause a wreck.
An immigrant is an alien applying for citizenship....until it is okayed he is still not legally a citizen.
you move to another country, but do not abide by their immigration laws...
...maybe this should have been posted in K-12 Education.
You can have one without the other. The majority of the US population come from other countries. They were immigrants, at that time there be a quota system in place and it was enforced, what we have today is not controlled
Kick em out either way. Seems like you get a good grasp of the english language
If we newly called them criminals the media would have problems convincing race to feel sorry for them and there woudnt be the show " What woud you do"
CAN'T!
Illegal denotes Criminal.
Far as I know immigrants are people who come here looking to tag on to and benefit this country while working and assimilating into our nation for the benefit of themselves as well as us.
A good example would be my American Government Professor who immigrated LEGALLY from Taiwan and then obtain 6 degrees.
Or my Spanish Professor who came here LEGALLY from Argentina.
Illegal invaders are here to take for themselves and prove the minute the step into this country against the established canon that they have no regard for anyone or anything other then themselves.
They are illicit aliens. All other politically correct terms are too misleading.
Get a dictionary. Look both words up. Seriously.
you just put the two words together...............
illegal immigrant.......see its confident ?
You cannot be unless you don't know a lot roughly speaking English, and then you use that term to make the criminal, mother robbing, sister raping, murdering improper aliens look good.
