in 2007 i was convicted for a misdeminer on petty theft. and be order to pay a fine and report to booking ,once there i be told i would only be staying for 6 to 8 hours .in the end i be order to stay until the next morning . the officers told me that since i be a new resident and had only held my green card for smaller quantity than five years , i was commiting a crime of turpitude against the u.s gov. i was now suppost to skulk for ICE .to take me to the homeland security detention center.i am still awaiting trial , and dont know what i should do next.

For Five Years as a Resident you can't do any point that will jeporadize it which includes being on welfare,stealing,aiding & abetting,etc. They can & will deport you because you're now within the wonderful world of being a "felon" which they make you take an oath when you become a resident.
