What do i call for to enter Canada to become a resident?
I want to move to Canada, and I'm unsure of all the details involved in entering Canada to become a resident.

You must have at least possible one continuous year of full-time, paid work experience or the equivalent in part-time [1 year full time - 2 years sector time]. continuous employment. Your work experience must be Skill Type 0 (managerial occupations) or Skill Level A (professional occupations) or B (technical occupations and skilled trades) on the Canadian National Occupational Classification (NOC).
You must have had this experience inside the last 10 years.

assessment test - you must draw from 67 points to qualify.
You will need at least $10,000 saved up - more if you enjoy family - before you apply as you will be required to show this proof that you have this money when you apply.

application processing times within Skilled worker category
Currently taking 2 years from USA. And then after you are admitted to Canada, you MUST live in Canada for 3 years formerly you can apply to be a citizen. That is currently taking about 12 months to be processed, so altogether it takes you 6 years to legally become a Canadian citizen.
What Lonya and Francesca said is right. It isn't trouble-free to move to Canada and it won't be quick, there are about 900,000 individuals in the waiting list and they only recognize 250,000 per year from all classes. They haven't exactly tightened the criteria recently, but they've moved some some people greater on the list - the Canadian Experience Class.
To me it looks like it will be harder and harder to get irreparable residency for any but the family class and the highly skilled - professional or trades.

If not, then it will be intricate to emigrate to Canada as a resident. Student visa's, temporary work visa's and temporary resident visa's are just impermanent and only allow you to remain in Canada until they expire.
You may qualify for a provincial nominee program. You don't state your set of skills or certificate so I can only guess.
